IMPERATIVE FORM

EXEMPLOS:

Eat sensibly.

Do not eat sweets, pastry, pasta or fried food.

Do some kind of aerobic activity...

Don't be lazy!

Do
 everything that I say and...

USO

O modo imperativo é usado para dar conselhos, instruções e ordens. Ele também pode ser usado para:

Dar sugestões:
Ex.: Try this coat on. It is very nice and cheap.
Encorajar alguém:
Ex.: Go, Lakers, go! (em uma torcida).
 Fazer um pedido:
Ex.: Call a taxi for me, please.
             Bring me some water.

FORMA

Ex: Use discount cards at stores.

Ex: Don't be a foll!

Please, do the dishes
Do the dishes, please.
Will you please do the dishes?
Would you please do the dishes?

IMPERATIVE (1ª PESSOA DO PLURAL)

Let us = LET’S + Infinitivo sem o to

To do

Let’s do it.   (Façamos isso/ Vamos fazer isso.)

Negative form: Let’s  + not

Let’s not do it

ExDo clean your teeth before going to the dentist

ALWAYS, NEVER

Always obey your fatlher and your mother

Never stay under a tree during a thunderstorm.
